Contrary to its name, The Boat Shed Antiques is located in an old Methodist Church in Lawrence. This is a shop for anyone with and interest in antiques and vintage items, but for the collector of sporting memoribilia this is a must see shop. This shop has some truly wonderful pieces of sporting memorabilia and collectables, particularly for rugby and rowing.

What’s Inside:

Inside The Boat Shed Antiques you will find, as in many shops, glass, china, ceramics, pottery, tools, boxes, kitchenware, small items, toys, tins, metalware, some furniture and more. What makes this shop different though, is the amount of antique and vintage sporting equipment, ephemera, photographs, programmes, and other sporting collectables. There are many photographs of New Zealand rugby clubs as well as caps, jackets and other clothing.

Location Tips:

The Boat Shed Antiques is located on State Highway 8 near where it dog legs on to the town's main shopping street. Just look for the old red church.
